Large-scale electrical installation for a major NHS hospital redevelopment — from 1600A LV distribution and ATS through to EV charging infrastructure with capacity for 100 chargers.
Voltmetric was appointed to deliver the full electrical installation package for the Whipps Cross Hospital redevelopment in London. The scope covered the complete electrical infrastructure — from a 1600A LV panel installation and automatic transfer switch through to EV charging infrastructure designed with capacity for 100 chargers. Working within a live NHS environment, the project demanded rigorous coordination with ongoing hospital operations to maintain critical services throughout. The installation included comprehensive life safety systems, structured data cabling, CCTV, and disabled alarm and refuge systems to meet the stringent requirements of a modern healthcare facility.
